Some very interesting matches this weekend and my focus this week is at Carrow Road but i’ll also be giving you the method behind my acca as well as a first person to score bet to whet your whistle.
Norwich v Everton
Norwich City host Everton. Gary Neil’s side started the season well but have, struggled recently with just one win in nine games in all competitions and that was against a poor Swansea side.
Everton on the other hand are unbeaten in seven matches and salvaged a point after going behind to Crystal Palace last weekend, boosting their confidence further. For Norwich, the fact that their two top goal scorers are a winger and a centre half is a major negative and shows their lack of firepower up top, so I’m struggling to see how Norwich will break the Everton rear-guard other than from a set piece.
Everton on the other hand are free-scoring of late and have in form attacking players all over the park. I have to add Everton to my acca this week given their price (8/5) and although I won’t tip it up, 3-1 looks a good call at 20/1
Weekend Betting Tips;
Everton/Man City/Tottenham/Hull/Middlesbrough – 1 pt win @ 9.7/1 (Paddy Power)
Harry Kane 1st Goalscorer – 2 pt win @ 10/3 (Boylesports)
Manchester City v Swansea
Manchester City’s confidence will be high following their 4-2 drubbing of Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek and with Swansea still on the hunt for a new manager, it is a good time for the home side to take full advantage and I can see goals in this one.
Swansea haven’t kept a clean sheet since 19th September and they will be very hard pushed to keep one here, despite City likely to be without Sergio Aguero. They do have Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Bony and if needed the impressive Kelechi Iheanacho amongst others in their armoury, so they are not short of back up.
City aren’t a great price at 1/3 but given the confidence I have in them winning they have to be part of my acca.
Tottenham v Newcastle
Tottenham host Newcastle on Sunday on the back of an unbeaten run stretching back since the start of the season and I fully expect them to continue that trend here. Newcastle’s poor run came to an end last weekend with an unexpected win over Liverpool, however having watched the game I thought it was more a case of Liverpool being poor rather than Newcastle being good.
Their one shining light is their goal scorer from last week Georginio Wijnaldum, who now has 7 league goals but I don’t feel he alone can tame this Tottenham team.
My first goal scorer bet this week comes at White Hart Lane and in the form of Harry Kane, granted he isn’t a great price but with 10/3 available at Boylesports he is well worth a 2 point win bet this week.
