Double Down on Lukaku to Sink Villa

    The weekend kicks off at Vicarage Road where 11th place Watford host 4th place Manchester United. The home side have proved that they can compete in the top league so far this season and have an excellent team ethic, whereas the away side are proving to be one of the tougher teams to break down, however they haven’t been hitting the back of the net as often as they’d like.

    Despite the lack of fire power there is still a large gulf between the two teams in terms of class and United will be looking to keep pressure on the top 3, so for me it is an away win albeit a narrow one.

    ladbrokes Premier League TipsDave Moore’s Premier League Tips;

    Man Utd/Arsenal/Chelsea/Man City – 1 pt win @ 7/1 (Betfred)

    Romelu Lukaku 1st Goalscorer – 2 pts win @ 7/2

    It could be a good weekend to take advantage of some decent prices on the top 4 sides. One of those teams at a decent price are Arsenal, who travel to the Hawthorns to play West Brom, Arsenal are not void of their injury worries with a number of players side-lined. However there is no doubting the talent that is at their disposal and I fully expect them to take all 3 points against a West Brom, who have leaked goals in their last two games.

    Chelsea and Norwich are two of the teams in the Premier League that are desperate for 3 points sitting 16th and 15th respectively, but despite Chelsea’s poor form this season and continued press surrounding the manager, I can see this game being the catalyst for their season and it probably comes at the perfect time.

    Surely it is only a matter of time until Hazard, Costa and co hit the next gear. This time last year you’d be getting 1/5 Chelsea to beat Norwich so at 4/9 it has to be taken advantage of.

    The last game of my Premier League acca is at the Etihad Stadium and it’s also the big game on paper for the weekend, Manchester City v Liverpool.

    Both teams will be buoyed by the return of their star strikers Sergio Aguero and Daniel Sturridge but how much of the game they play awaits to be seen, Liverpool’s defeat at home to Crystal Palace last time out showed that they are still a long way off challenging for the title, yes the Jurgen Klopp effect has been good for the club but there’s only so much that will help a team who doesn’t have the right quality available.

    However, there is a lot of quality in the City team from back to front and it will take a mammoth effort from the away side to nick a point let alone a win on Saturday evening, so Man City are the last team I will add to my acca.

    Harry Kane provided me with just my second 1st goalscorer win this season and it has been a frustrating time with the majority of selections scoring second or third in the matches. However a 1 point stake on each selection would only provide a 3 point loss and I don’t think my form will decline in this field so hopefully you stick with them.

    My first goalscorer bet this week is a 2 pt win on Romelu Lukaku. Everton host Aston Villa with their new manager so the away team will be well up for this game, however Everton have been in decent form and are always a tough team to play at Goodison Park.

    Lukaku himself has gone a little under the radar in terms of the top goalscorer this season, for me on his day he is as good as any striker in the Premier League, unfortunately for Everton fans he is also one of the most inconsistent.
