The fixture list compilers had the Midas touch when they scheduled this weekend’s matches, as we have some very tasty matches which could decide the fate of the Premier League title, which we are featuring below as well as our usual tips
Dave’s Top Tips
Acca – Arsenal/Man Utd/Everton/Chelsea/Brighton – 1pt Win @ 10.12/1 with Paddy Power
Acca – Man City v Tottenham/QPR v Fulham – 2pts Draw Double @ 12.13/1 with Betfair
First Goalscorer –Romelu Lukaku – 2pts Win @ 10/3
Arsenal v Leicester City
The highlight of the weekend comes at lunchtime on Sunday where league leaders Leicester face 3rd placed Arsenal at the Emirates. Leicester are five points clear at the summit of the Premier League, which has come to a surprise to many this season, however having watched them against Manchester City last time out it is certainly no fluke.
The away side possess the leagues’ top goal scorer in Jamie Vardy and in Algerian Rihad Mahrez, arguably one of the most creative players around and the biggest bargain buy in the league. The home side will be looking to bridge the gap and have recently welcomed Alexis Sanchez back from injury, which is a major boost to their chances of challenging for the title.
Arsenal will know that defeat this weekend will see their title credentials all but fade, however their experience could put them at an advantage against their courageous opponents. They have some world class proven players in their ranks, so I feel this game could be the first of the big games where Leicester fall short. At 3/4 best price they have to be part of this weeks’ Acca.
Manchester City v Tottenham
Another big game for the weekend is the Super Sunday clash between Manchester City and Tottenham, both teams are battling at the top of the table and are six and five points off the leaders respectively.
In my opinion City look a weaker side than they were last season, especially without Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne and I don’t see a great amount of creativity, with the exception of David Silva and Sergio Aguero.
Tottenham however are a lot more solid and have unearthed one of England’s shining lights in Dele Alli, who looks set to play a major part at Euro 2016.
This game has a draw written all over it in my opinion and the draw bet goes in to my weekend draw double.
Sunderland v Manchester United
The weekend kicks off at the Stadium of Light, as strugglers Sunderland face a rejuvenated Manchester United. I watched Sunderland v Liverpool last weekend and I could not believe my eyes when Sunderland pulled a draw from nowhere.
I feel a performance like Sunderland put in against Liverpool will not be enough to overcome a United side who are now unbeaten in three games and only one defeat in nine.
At 4/5 United look good value and are added to this weekends’ Acca.
