Draw Acca – Tottenham v Leicester/West Brom v Man City/Brighton v Norwich – 1pt Win @ 61.24/1 with 888 Sport

First Goalscorer – Alexis Sanchez – 15/4 with Betvictor

Sunderland v Arsenal

premier league preview and tipsWith no real “Top of the Table” clash this weekend, our headline game is Sunderland v Arsenal.  Bottom of the table Sunderland have picked up just two points this season, David Moyes’ has endured a torrid time since taking over at the Stadium of Light, with many already calling for his head.

Arsenal’s recent run of goals came to a surprising end last weekend against Middlesbrough, but the North London team will want to put that game behind them and push towards their quest for the title.

Sunderland continue to struggle with injuries, with no less than six first team players missing from their side. Missing players include Jan Kirchhoff, who I feel is crucial to them if they are going to defy the odds and survive relegation.  They have had a couple of improved performances of late, but are in desperate need of goals.  With Arsenal’s back line looking as assured as any this season, we cannot see how Sunderland are going to breach the away teams’ defence.

At the other end of the field, Arsenal had previously been flowing with goals. The scary thing is, their goals have been spread out evenly throughout the side.  Alexis Sanchez is due one and we feel he is fairly decent value at 15/4 with Bet 365 for first Goalscorer. So we will be having a nice bet on him.

Tottenham v Leicester

Champions Leicester travel to White Hart Lane to play Tottenham, who will also be hoping for more goals. Spurs have scored just twice in their last four matches in all competitions.

With Harry Kane out injured, it will be interesting what Mauricio Pochettino does with his selection. He dropped the in-form Son Heung-Min for the past couple of games, since he was player of the month for September.  For us that decision has been the crucial one for Spurs, surely he has to be recalled given their need to hit the back of the net.

For Leicester they are off the back of a good and much needed win at Crystal Palace.  Ahmed Musa was given his starting berth ahead of Jamie Vardy that day and it paid dividends for Claudio Ranieri’s men.  It wouldn’t surprise us should Leicester decide to go for it on Saturday, with three up top in Vardy, Musa and Islam Slimani.

An interesting game on the cards and it’s tough to choose between them in their current form, so we’re going to go for a draw.

Southampton v Chelsea

This weekends’ Super Sunday clash is a very intriguing one between Southampton and Chelsea at St Mary’s.

The home side have had just one defeat in their last ten games, whilst Chelsea have won their last three Premier League games without conceding. Nathan Redmond and Charlie Austin are now starting to build a nice little partnership up top for Southampton, so it will take a strong Chelsea back line to keep them at bay. Whilst Diego Costa’s recent form has put him back at the forefront of the Premier League elite.

Another close call, but given their win over Man Utd, we think Chelsea can edge this one.
