Managers have been working hard finalising deals as they look to improve their squad’s for the forthcoming season, resulting in big shifts in the Outright market.
Chelsea head into the Premier League as favourites (15/8) to win the title after signing Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis this summer, suring up their weakpoints from last season. The acquisition of Fabragas proved to be the tipping point in boosting them ahead of the 2013-14 champions Manchester City.
Manchester United (9/2) have also shortened in the market following the arrival of Louis van Gaal and after landing big-money signings Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, while LVG’s new look tactics have also impressed, while Arsenal (6/1) have joined them in leapfrogging Liverpool after landing Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez.
After coming so perilously close to winning their first ever Premier League title last year, Luis Suarez’s move to Barcelona has seen Liverpool drift significantly from their opening price of 7/2 to their current price of 10/1 to lift the trophy this year.
This being said, Liverpool have been one of the most active Premier League teams in the summer’s transfer window with Brendan Rogers appearing determined to make the most of that Luis Suarez money with several signings, including most of Southampton’s star players from last season.
Serie A, Primera Liga and Bundesliga 1 are also all set to commence over the next three weeks and so we’re set for another exciting season ahead.
