This weekends’ football kicks off at White Hart Lane where Tottenham host Liverpool, all the talk before the game has been about Liverpool’s new manager Jurgen Klopp, with the German taking charge of his first game for the reds.

He couldn’t have been given much of a tougher start as Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 3 games, including a 4-1 drubbing over the leaders Manchester City, Liverpool themselves however haven’t been beaten in their last 7 in all competitions so it certainly looks a tricky affair on paper and one not to get involved in from a betting point of view.

Affilaite_Social_400x400_Tottenham-Liverpool_ukHowever, if I was going to have a bet I would have to go with a 0-0 score line, Klopp has said this week that he intends to shore up the defence before putting his attentions on the attack and with Tottenham likely to go with just Kane up front alone, they will have to rely on improved performances from him to break the Liverpool back line.

Dave’s Premier League Betting Tips;

Romelu Lukaku 1st Goalscorer – 1pt win @ 6/1 (Betfair)

Kevin De Bruyne 1st Goalscorer – 1pt win @ 6/1 (Betfair)

Everton/Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal – 1pt win @ 8.68/1 + Acca Bonus (bet365)

Everton v Manchester United is arguably the highlight of the weekends’ football, however I don’t think I can remember this fixture not being televised which I think is a very strange decision from the TV broadcasters and the Premier League, especially given the lack of quality in the other games at the weekend.

Both teams have been in good form with United finding themselves in 3rd place and Everton poised in 7th.  Goodison Park is a tough place to visit these days and United’s defeat at Arsenal last time out exposed their limitations.

The one saving grace for United is player of the month Anthony Martial’s form and the away side will be looking to him to lead the line, Everton welcome back Wayne Rooney to where he began his career but the United man has been in arguably the worst form of his career with just one goal in seven outings this season, Everton fans will be hoping he doesn’t come back to haunt them.

Affilaite_Social_400x400_Everton-ManU_ukRomelu Lukaku looks the man to side with from a 1st scorer point of view, as the Belgian has looked a different prospect from the lazy player I watched last season, he may finally meet the potential he has.  At 6/1 he is well worth a bet and I fancy Everton to turn United over this weekend.

Manchester City face Bournemouth at the Etihad and despite losing Sergio Aguero for a month or so they have plenty of firepower in their ranks, my second 1st goalscorer bet of the weekend is Kevin De Bruyne who is available at 6/1, he has already scored 3 goals in his last three games and I fully expect his run to continue given that he will likely be pushed in an even more advanced role than normal.

Chelsea v Aston Villa sees two under-fire managers take each other on and whilst I’m not a fan of Jose Mourinho he is the proven manager out of the two, with Eden Hazard hitting form for Belgium last week he for me is the key man for the home side whilst the return of Diego Costa will also be a welcome boost for Mourinho’s men.  Chelsea should win this one at a canter.

Arsenal travel to Watford for Saturday Night Football, where I am fully expecting the away side to take all 3 points from their hosts, Arsenal are finally hitting the form I thought they were capable of with Alexis Sanchez once again being their star performer, I’m a fan of Theo Walcott as first goalscorer however I’m leaving this one alone as it wouldn’t surprise me if Arsenal went behind early in the game and came back to win.
